Trohpy Deer Hunts

It’s November and the bucks are fully into rut. Until now the biggest ones have been primarily nocturnal but the attraction to the opposite sex is strong and they abandon their usual patterns to spend most of their day scenting and tracking does. Tracking the bucks can be a challenge because they don’t spend much time in one place. However, with their constant movement, spotting and stalking becomes much easier. Their sense of purpose and focus causes them to be more careless than usual, sometimes running right into hunters. If you are looking for a Trophy Deer this is the time of year to hunt. Your guided hunt begins at our deluxe Base Camp in the Selway-Bitterroot and Frank Church Wilderness’. The cabin tents are easy to keep warm with the large wood stoves and split wood provided. After a hunter-hearty breakfast you’ll grab your prepared lunch and head off with your guide. The location of our Base Camp allows us maximum flexibility to put you on game. You and your guide will ride horses directly from camp or trailer a short distance and then ride to the hot spots.
